This young hustler was flipping ice cream on the beach to fund his dream of getting into finance. He told me, and I quote: “I want to work in finance, that’s my ultimate goal. I would work for free just to shadow someone in the industry and get an opportunity. I’ll do whatever they need me to do.” Many older folks criticize Gen Z and say there’s not a strong work ethic within this generation. I disagree. These young kids are hungry. They just need a shot. So I’m calling on my network. Consider it a favor that Mr Good Vibes will personally pay back. If any one is in finance or knows anyone in the space who could use an extra hand with anything at all, please message me privately. This young man (19) goes to school at the University of Toronto and is looking for early experiences to break into the game. Once again, he doesn’t even care about being paid, he just wants a shot. This is the kind of future employee who will be a great asset to any organization as he grows up. I don’t do this with all of our users but this is a special case.
